2015 provides a showcase of world-class cricket with the ODI World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, followed by Australian tours to the West Indies and England for an Ashes Series. It therefore seems fitting to look at some of the technology and tools used by Cricket Australia to create high-performing players.
Brian "Freddie" McFadyen is the Team Performance Information Manager with Cricket Australia. Freddie plays a vital role in the integration of advanced technologies into the sport, and will discuss the elite pathway, programs and technology involved in athlete development.
The venue for the evening is the beautiful Committee Room located in the historic Members' Pavilion at the Oval cricket ground. Built in 1895, it is considered the "inner sanctum" of Surrey County Cricket Club. The room is decorated with portraits of legendary cricketers and overlooks the famous Oval wicket. The Pavilion can be accessed by Hobbs Gate, which is nearest to the Oval tube station, or a short walk from Vauxhall station.
