Application form and supporting documents will be uploaded to our website on this date.

Following on from the general briefing workshops, this online technical tips session will provide VITAL information and advice on key things to consider and dos & don'ts in relation to planning your IT facilitiy.

If you're not an IT expert yourself and don't have one in your organisation - and you're interested in applying for a grant - this workshop is a MUST for you!

Feedback from previous successful applicants that attended this session has been resoundingly positive in how useful and important it was in helping them to carefully plan their project... which ultimately shone through in their application and was largely why their application was successful.

The session covers technical considerations, good practice, sensible shopping and cyber security and will really make you think about your project and what you are trying to achieve. It will cover topics such as:

  • Costs beyond the funding (ongoing, hidden and unexpected costs)
  • Purchasing the right hardware
  • Broadband provision
  • Protection and infrastructure
  • Laptops vs desktop PCs vs tablets
  • Software & additional Items
  • Technical time
  • Budgeting
  • Charity Digital Exchange, the cheapest way to purchase software
  • Your legal responsibilities, security, confidentiality and duty of care

Have a quick look our website for some provisional Round 6 information.
