About this event

Science & Tech • High Tech

We're focusing on the often-overlooked niche of technical platforms and tooling.

This meetup will create space to share experiences, best practices, and research around designing for technical audiences.

We want to enable conversation and community among designers, researchers, and engineers working on these kinds of challenges, and believe there's a lot we can learn from each other.

If you design or make for technical and/or expert users, this event is for you.

Speakers:

  • Mari Östin (former DEEP and Renishaw): "When Your Users Are Experts: Prototyping Techniques for Time-Poor, Knowledge-Rich Technical Audiences"
  • Lon Barfield (University of Bristol): "Emergent UX Design for large, complex, novel technologies. Designing at the edge of the unknown"

    * More TBC!

Please note:

  • Soft drinks and beer will be provided
  • An NDA will be required for access to the building.
