Event description

Description

Most professional service firms report issues in managing, integrating and
retaining the more recent generations into the workplace. Whilst we cannot talk in terms of
hard divisions, there do seem to be some fairly well-established differences between the
generations. Sufficient research has now been carried out to start to draw some lessons from
the practice of inter-generational working.

Drawing upon specific research at Kellogg University and Harvard Law School, in this talk, Dr. Kevin Doolan, Professor on the Lawyers’ Management Program at IE Law School, will explore:

 What early influences impacted the different generations
 Core beliefs and values
 Some friction points
 Suggested solutions

Whilst this type of research inevitably involves some stereotyping, and does not obviate the
need to treat individuals as such, the intention is to explore the research findings and then have
an open discussion around participants own experiences and actions.
