TVC 2013 Programme
To mark the 10th anniversary of our conference we invite you to examine accelerating technology developments which are leading to profound changes in society. With segments on 3D Printing, Biotech, Big Data and Emerging Markets, the conference draws upon concrete examples of how entrepreneurs are using technology to systematically disrupt industries and pave the way for new sectors to emerge. What are the implications of these technologies to our economy, businesses, and everyday lives?
The Startup Challenge
The TVC has invited 10 startups from all around the world to come to Cambridge University, providing a unique opportunity to showcase their prototypes and business concepts. The competition will include a showcase exhibition where delegats can cast their vote on the most promising startup, followed by a Dragon’s Den style pitching session.
IBM Watson
IBM Watson is currently the best example of Artificial Intelligence built on IBM’s cluster of supercomputers, as the first computer to ever win game show Jeopardy in 2011. At the TVC, we will have the chance to interact with this machine of the future.
