On the 26 September 2017, world-leading organisations the Royal Institution and Imperial College London will bring together leaders in academia, industry, NGOs and young entrepreneurs to reveal how the best in UK technology is helping to combat bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal diseases. The Summit will feature some of the foremost thinkers tackling the global challenge of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance through a multidisciplinary approach.

The event will be in two parts. The afternoon will showcase how cutting edge UK research and pioneering technological solutions are contributing to tackling infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance worldwide. Following these presentations, the evening event will feature a keynote address by Prof David Heymann, Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; head of the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House, London; and former chairman of Public Health England, UK.
