Our next virtual TED Circle is here!

On Tuesday 27th July 6:30-8:00pm we will be hosting our free monthly TED Circles session, where we come together to share and discuss brilliant ideas worth spreading.

The theme of this month’s TED Circle is ‘Agree to disagree’. A topic that becomes increasingly important as we see growing polarisation in many societies, globally.

We’ll be exploring this theme through the lens of two great talks. Together we will discover whether we’re predisposed to developing political mindsets and how disagreeing productively and finding common ground can help us learn to overcome our natural tendencies to disagree.

We’ll also consider questions like:

Can political differences really be overcome?
How might disagreements fuel learning?
What can we do to better understand those whose perspectives differ from our own?

We are proud to announce that our Headline Partner, Citi, will be supporting a series of 6 inclusive Circles events, running from July - December 2021. Together we hope to facilitate and encourage local and global conversations around a wide variety of topics.

Please note that this is not a drop-in event - it starts at 6:30pm and finishes at 8:00pm, so if you join us after 6:30pm you may miss out on watching the first talk and discussion.

What are TED Circles?

TED Circles is a new initiative by TED. An open platform where small groups meet for meaningful conversations about ideas worth spreading. Imagine a book club for TED Talks! We invite our community to gather together to discuss a variety of relevant and timely topics in a respectful and safe space.

How do TED Circles work?

Together, we'll watch two TED talks, followed by an informal discussion in small break-out groups, led and supported by our fantastic TEDxLondon facilitators. You don't have to do anything in preparation other than come with an open mind and be ready to share your thoughts.
