TEDx Global Idea Search

The TEDx Global Idea Search is coming to London. This one-time event is your chance to experience the TED magic that captivates millions of viewers worldwide.

Step behind the scenes of TED for an exclusive intimate evening hearing from 10 finalists hoping to take their idea worth spreading to the TED 2026 main stage in Vancouver. Join fellow idea enthusiasts to discover the next viral TED talk, before it hits the global stage.

The evening is your chance to connect with the TED community and meet fellow Londoners who are excited by ideas that shape our future.

WHAT IS THE TEDx GLOBAL IDEA SEARCH?

In partnership with nine TEDx organizers, TED is holding nine Global Idea Searches in 2025. Anyone with an idea worth spreading can apply. Each search will culminate in a spectacular in-person event showcasing remarkable ideas from that region. One speaker from each event will be invited to give their talk live at the TED conference in Vancouver in April 2026. Find out more.

WHO IS SPEAKING?

The deadline to apply to speak at the TEDxLondon Global Idea Search has passed. We are working with the TED team to shortlist up to 10 speakers who will share the ideas from the TEDxLondon stage - more details to follow.

ABOUT OUR TICKETS

Unlike our previous events, this will be an intimate event for around 100 people. This means our tickets are going to look a bit different than usual:

SUPPORTER TICKETS – £175 per person + fees

THESE TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE ON THE 25th SEPTEMBER

This ticket includes general seating (all seating is unreserved), one of our iconic tote bags and access to our post-event drinks reception (with one drink included), where you can network and meet the speakers, TED team and fellow idea enthusiasts. Guarantee your spot at this TED and TEDxLondon event and support brand new ideas worth spreading at this exclusive experience. These tickets are specifically created as ‘micro sponsorship opportunities’. TEDxLondon is a non-profit event led by a volunteer team. This ticket will help us to keep our work going in 2026 and beyond. This is a chance for our community members and supporters who can, to step up and support us – and also enjoy this very special evening.

LOTTERY TICKETS – £25 per person + fees

This ticket includes general seating (all seating is unreserved), one of our iconic tote bags and access to our post event drinks reception where you can network and meet the speakers, TED team and fellow idea enthusiasts.

Given our limited capacity, there are only 10 lottery tickets available. Add your name to the list for free here and in early October we will be picking 10 names at random. Please note that entries are limited to one per person and tickets are limited to one per person. Names will be randomly selected. If you have been selected you will receive an email from rebeccas@tedxlondon.com with instructions on how to purchase your ticket. You will then have 24 hours to purchase your discounted ticket for £25 + booking fees.

REFUNDS

Please note, we only offer refunds if the event is sold out with a waitlist for tickets, in which case we offer refunds up to 1 week before the event.
