TEDxEuston in collaboration with our partners Shell International are proud to invite you to the final installment in our Vision to Reality series - TEDxEustonSalon 2016 - Vision to Reality: REFUEL on the 12th November 2016.
This special event will take place at Royal Institute of British Architects, London and promises to be an event not to be missed!
We have organised an inspirational half day of signature TEDxEuston talks and performances that will continue to engage, engerise and refuel your minds and ideas to help bring your own Vision to Reality.
Jorn Lyseggen, one of the founders of Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) in Ghana which is a training program, seed fund and incubator for African entrepreneurs. MEST was recognised in 2015 as one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Companies in Africa. Jorn is the receipent of several honours and has been featured in the media for his contribution to the African tech ecosystem.
Temie Giwa-Tubosun, alumni of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, is the founder and CEO of LifeBank - a social entreprise using technology and smart logistics to improve blood transfusion access to patients in Nigeria. In 2014, Temie was named by the BBC as one of their '100 Women' making a difference in the world.
Lucy Quist is an international business leader and the CEO of Airtel – one of Ghana’s largest telecommunications companies. She is on the board of several establishments including the- International Board for African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) and Obaatan Pa Women’s Hospital. Lucy, an electrical/electronic engineer by training, is a great advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Ebele Okobi is a former corporate lawyer in New York, Paris and London, founding Global Head and former Senior Legal Director for Human Rights at Yahoo, former consumer rights policy fellow at Consumers Union in San Francisco, Ebele is the Public Policy Director for Africa at Facebook, a senior director of Advisory Services at Catalyst (an NGO with the mission of advancing women in business) and is in the Management Development Program at Nike’s EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam. Her passion for human rights led to her taking a sabbatical in 2001 to volunteer for human rights organizations in the US and Senegal.
Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, is the founder and CEO of Flutterwave, a digital payments infrastructure platform that aggregates various payment methods for businesses across Africa. Iyinoluwa is also the co-founder of Andela, the tech talent accelerator known as one of the largest start-ups in Africa. He was named as one of Forbes "30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs In Africa 2015".
Caleb Femi is the Young People's Laureate for London. He is also an English teacher, filmmaker and photographer. As a poet his works are often described as vivid and honest delivered with an essence of musicality. Caleb has graced major stages such as the Roundhouse mainstage, Barbican, Rich Mix, Royal Festival Hall and many festivals including Latitude, Ed Fringe, Boomtown, Lovebox. Greenbelt to name a few.
Eddie Kadi was born in the DR Congo in 1983 and moved to the UK at the age of eight. The first black British comedian to headline the O2 Arena, Kadi who started performing in his underguate years has appeared on household TV shows such as The Lenny Henry Show, and the QI show alongside Stephen Fry.
He has also performed across Africa with some of the continent's biggest names and at Africa's biggest entertainment awards ceremony AMVCA. As well as being a comedian, Eddie has an array of other talents including acting. He has guest starred in a number of films, with the latest being Its A Lot in 2014, written and directed by Femi Oyeniran.

2.TEDxEuston reserves the right to make alterations to the programme such as speaker line up changes but will endeavour to ensure that all speakers are of a similar calibre and stature.

When & Where
TEDxEuston is organised by an all-volunteer team of African professionals. It aims to reflect ideas and inspired thinking of a new generation of African leaders, presenting to an audience of mainly Africans committed to engaging and re-engaging in an active and meaningful manner with the continent.
TEDxEuston is a TED-like event locally organised in the same spirit of "ideas worth spreading", devoted to leveraging the powers of ideas to change the world.
The objectives of TEDxEuston are:
- To inspire a new generation of people engaging responsibly with Africa
- To bring together people that have found or are seeking innovative approaches
- To foster an environment for embracing our passion and commitment for the continent.
