TEDxLondonSalon: Feeding the City
Tue 21 March 2017, 19:30 – 21:30 GMT
Taking place on the evening of Tuesday 21 March, TEDxLondonSalon: Feeding the City will look at the theme of food nourishing hearts and minds, creating industry and bringing people together. As urban populations grow, TEDxLondonSalon explores the impacts of city living on what, when and how we eat.
TEDxLondonSalon: Feeding the City presents four inspiring speakers from the world of food and will be introduced by writer and broadcaster Rick Edwards.
Claire Hubbard from GrowUp Urban Farms looks to the future of feeding our cities, harnessing new aquaponics and vertical growing techniques. Alyson Walsh from FareShare will reveal how technology can transform food distribution and tackle inequality. Food writer, broadcaster, restaurateur and Masterchef winner Tim Anderson will explore the relationship between food, culture and identity. Catherine and Gavin Hanly – the brains and appetites behind go-to foodie website Hot Dinners – will treat the audience to a culinary journey through London’s evolving food scene. One further inspiring speaker will be announced shortly.
Running time: 120 minutes, no interval. The ticket price includes one free drink at the event.
You must be 14 or over to attend TEDxLondon and anyone under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
