Description

TEDxPeckham 2017

TEDxPeckham aims to connect people who have innovative approaches to life and to create a platform to embrace and acknowledge the ever-changing people of Peckham.

In today's society, we are constantly bombarded with theories about how we should think and feel. The theme “Think Again” is a declaration to form our own conclusions. It will allow us to reassess and redefine concepts and ideas in ways we have never been given the opportunity to.

So join us at TEDxPeckham’s first ever event themed "Think Again" where national and local speakers will explore alternative ideas to our censored narratives.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. At our TEDxPeckham event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

You must be 14 or over to attend TEDxPeckham and anyone under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. We are offering a limited number of tickets at a reduced price for students and local residents.

All proceeds go to the running of the event and a TEDxPeckham Scholarship Fund for 16-22 years old.

This event is a non-profit, organised by passionate volunteers.
