TEDxScarisbrick will be the first event of its kind in our community, hosted at the brand-new Oak Theatre - a striking new space for storytelling, innovation and conversation at Scarisbrick Hall.

Under the theme Uncharted Territories: Navigating the Edge of Possibility, this independently organised TEDx event will spotlight a diverse mix of changemakers, storytellers, and industry disruptors from across business, tech, the arts and media.

Can I pay on the door?

No, unfortunately, you will need to purchase a ticket prior to in order to attend as seating is limited int the theatre.

Does the theatre have disabled parking?

Yes, there is disabled parking at the front of the venue. The Theatre main entrance is accessed via a flat path. Access into the Theatre, for the event, is through double doors and there are two spaces for wheelchairs or additional seats on same level.

Will there be an interval

Yes, there will be two intervals to give the audience an opportunity to network, have a break and grab something to eat.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxScarisbrick, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxScarisbrick event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized
