Event description

Description

In late September, Secretary of State Matt Hancock announced he wanted to launch guidelines for teenagers’ use of social media, so “individuals, schools or parents don’t have to decide.” So how IS teen mental health being affected in an online world, and is it all that bad?

Join the One HealthTech London Hub for a meetup covering all things teen mental health and social media! We are also thrilled to be supporting the launch of Victoria Betton and James Woollard’s new book on supporting young people around their use of social media, apps, gaming, texting and the rest. There will be a book signing so come ready!

This essential book shows practitioners how they can engage with teens' online lives to support their mental health. It looks at the positive effects online spaces have on mental health, as well as the risks such as bullying, sexting, and addiction. It also provides a framework to help teens develop resilience in respect of their internet use.

Please note DRIVE is located opposite Russell Square tube on the 1st Floor, 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE.
