Teens in Action Forum: AI in Climate Action

An online event designed for teenagers passionate about AI:

This workshop will explore how Sage Earth is using AI to help smaller businesses understand and reduce their carbon footprint. Learn more about climate science and why even small businesses matter in the climate fight, and explore how AI models can analyse company spending to identify where emissions are coming from.

💥 What you'll learn:

✅Explain the role of carbon footprinting in tackling climate change and why small businesses are important in this.

✅What makes a good AI model for carbon measurement and categorising

✅Come up with an AI-powered solution to a tricky data problem in carbon measurement

Meet our Experts:

Graham McLauchlin - Product Manager, Sage

With over 10 years of experience in business software. Graham has specialized in Conversation Intelligence tools at companies like Refract and Allego before joining Sage Earth in 2023. Since then, he's played a key role in launching our Carbon Measurement API and user-facing Carbon Accounting products. Outside of work, he lives in Newcastle Upon Tyne with his wife and two cats.

It exists to increase diversity and inclusion in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science and gives young people aged 12-18 early exposure to AI for social good.
