Event description

Description

Teepa Snow is one of the world’s leading advocates and educators for anyone living with dementia. Teepa Snow is an American dementia-care education specialist with a background in occupational therapy and over 30 years in clinical practice. She has worked in a variety of settings and now trains people in her Positive Approach to Care.

Teepa is coming to the UK in July to deliver training and we are delighted to announce that on 3rd July Teepa has kindly agreed to travel to Newcastle to deliver a three hour presentation for Hospices North East. The event will be open to up to 200 Hospices North East staff and volunteers and external colleagues. This is an amazing coup for the North East and our hospices.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Teepa Snow speak passionately about:

  • Dementia at end of life

  • Communication with advanced patients with dementia and Positive Approach to Care

  • Dealing with Distress: Using Empathy and Support

Registration and refreshments at 9.30am

Seminar runs from 10:00am - 1:00pm

Please ensure on the day you bring a printed copy of your ticket or show your email upon entry to the event.
