Tees Valley Devolution: What next?
As the Tees Valley moves toward finalising its devolution deal and we approach the Mayoral elections next May, we are keen to bring the business community in the Tees Valley together to discuss the implications of the deal.
The deal will provide £15m of additional funding per year as well as devolved control over budgets such as education and skills, transport & infrastructure, business investment, economic development and tourism.
All of these will affect how the economy of the Tees Valley develops and it is important the business community play a full role in shaping how the money is spent.
The CBI, EEF, FSB, NEECC and TVBC are organising a breakfast consultation event on Wednesday 19th October 8.00am – 10.00am at the Marton Hotel, Marton, Middlesbrough TS7 8DS.
Keynote speaker at the event will be David Budd, Mayor of Middlesbrough and Chair of the Combined Authority.
The meeting will be a chance to hear what the current deal offers but also to seek your views on the contents of the deal and how the business community should be consulted and involved in the future.
