About this Event
Do people tell you your life should be a book?
Have you lived through challenges, interesting and unusual experiences you want to share with others?
Perhaps you have memories you’d like to get down on paper for your children and loved ones.
If you want to tell your story, this course is for you!
Over four one hour sessions you will be guided to choose a part of your life and craft a piece of writing about it, whether autobiographical or fictional.
People with all levels of writing experience are welcome. You will also be given the option of creating an oral story you can share verbally.
Class size is limited to allow time for individual feedback.
Each week you will receive optional homework based on your in-session work. You will have the opportunity to share your story is a safe and supportive environment with other women.
About the Trainer:
Aline Duriaud is an artist, jewellery designer, writer and mental health advocate with a passion for the benefits of creativity on mental and emotional wellbeing.
Aline has two Fine Art degrees and exhibited her art work and photography internationally. She retrained as a jewellery designer and now sells her original jewellery online and at London art and design markets including Truman Breweries at Brick Lane. She is the owner of Alien Hearts jewellery.
Aline’s art criticism and reviews have been internationally. Her short fiction has been published in the United States and she has interviewed other artists for various online publications. She freelances as a digital content editor for Mental Health News Radio Network, the world’s largest media network dedicated to mental wellbeing content. She also writes and hosts her podcast Beyond the Borderline, which is in the iTunes top 100 list of mental health content podcasts.
Aline has led creative workshops for MIND Lewisham, Bromley and Greenwich, LOVO CIC and Voluntary Services Lewisham. She has also supported vulnerable adults in various settings and she has a certification in Adult Training.

All sessions take place on Zoom. You will be asked to turn your camera on for group introductions after which you can turn it off if you wish.
This course is not a substitute for therapy and other professional medical and emotional support.
