Description

Tellin' Dad is a moving short film, starring Ricky Tomlinson, which follows a young man's struggle to come out to his dad, with surprising results. Following the film, we are delighted to welcome writer and actor Carl Loughlin for a Q&A session then we will host an exploration of experiences of coming out across different generations.

LGBT Foundation will be screening feature and short films throughout the Manchester Pride Big Weekend as well as hosting a comunnity cafe and range of workshops. Full details on our website. All of our events are free and you do not need a pride wristband to enter our building.

What are the accessibility details of the venue?

Our building is completely wheelchair accessible. You can access the building from a lift or stairs if you prefer. We have wheelchair accessible toilets on each floor. All our toilets are non-gendered and self-contained. Our building is smoke free and alcohol free. If you have other access requirements please contact us via the details below.


Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No but anyone under 14 must be accompanied by someone 18 or over. You will not need to provide ID s proof of booking and the name you book with does not need to be the name on your legal documents if this is not your chosen name.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We are a short walk from Piccadilly train station and Manchester coach station as well as Piccadilly Gardens bus stops and metrolink. There is no free parking nearby but there is parking next to the coach station on Chorlton Street. There is also bike racks outside the coach station.

What can I bring into the event?

Our building is alcohol free but you can bring soft drinks and snacks if you like.
