Description

Today's Story Teller is Mark Kehoe

of 'Inspire Confidence Coaching'

Story Title: My Life So Far

Mark writes: "For over 12 years I suffered with depression and anxiety. My life was rubbish. I had no confidence and very low self-esteem. I surrounded myself with all the wrong types of friends and I was just in a very unhappy place. Then one day I just reached a point where I was so fed up of living that way that I decided that I was going to change my life. I began working very hard on myself and straight away I saw better results and I got involved in self-development and today I am a very happy, confident person who loves life and who is now passionate about helping others to overcome anything that is holding them back in life so that they can live it on their terms.

"I share my story with others to show them that you can overcome anything that is currently holding you back so that ultimately you can live life on your terms. Having a healthy mindset plays a massive part in the type of life you live and I teach people that there is a big difference between living and existing. Many of us at some point in our lives will suffer with things like low confidence or lack of motivation and it's just about getting to really know yourself so that you know what it is in life that you want and then going off and living life on your terms."

The Question I have for the Telling Stories Group

What do you think would be the best way to build up my profile so that I can eventually share my story to people in all lots of different countries?

Are you a coach, consultant or freelance, who wants to promote their business and take their practice to a new place?

Do you love stories and long to find your own story that gives voice to your business?

Great stories are true because they have integrity, they make a promise (that must be met), they are subtle and yet make a rapid first impression, they appeal to our senses and match a particular worldview.

So, finding a story that will promote your business is not easy. But it can be easier if you share your search with a dynamic group of business-owners.

This self-help group will listen to and provide feedback for business stories and help each other market their business through stories.

Join us at the Village Grill on 2nd and 4th Thursdays to find out:

  • How to tell your story in a fresh and compelling way
  • How to use your story to market your business and become better known
  • How to adapt your story in new and innovative ways.

We will do more than tell stories. We'll share ideas about how to tell stories so they are really effective. Each month, one member of the group shares their story and together we listen, take note and work out how the story can be improved. Everyone learns from this experience and improves their story telling. We cover a range of business applications and media for telling your stories.

A fee of £10 on the door shall cover a meal from the Village Grill's lunchtime menu. This includes burgers, wraps, etc and there are vegetarian options.
