Event description

Description

Maggie Sawkins and Brighton based writer and performer Gus Watcham delve into the dark world of folk and fairy tale for nuggets of gold to get writing ideas flowing. Come ready to embrace the weird and wonderful. Suitable for beginner and more experienced writers.

Gus Watcham was a RADA student in 1969 and spent twenty years on the London Fringe and touring the UK in a van. After a gap of nearly thirty years she returned to the stage to perform her own material. In the meantime Gus has been an artist, support worker, civil servant, bartender, and the front end of a pantomime horse.

Maggie Sawkins holds and MA with distinction in Creative Writing and has over 25 years experience of teaching in community and healthcare settings. In 2014 she won the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry for her live literature production, Zones of Avoidance.
