About this event
In May 2025, we celebrated the 11th anniversary of the citizens' referendum that enshrined Tempelhofer Feld as a public space. As a part of the celebration and to further raise awareness about the struggles facing the Feld, we hosted the first Tempelhof Write-In.
The outcome was a productive and inspiring afternoon. We loved meeting so many of you and seeing your passion for this special place, so we're doing it again!
What to expect:
This time, we have the unique opportunity to gather inside Flughafen Tempelhof’s Alte Feuerwache (old fire station).
Join us for a special day of creative workshops, presented by Architects for Tempelhofer Feld and writer Demi Anter, with the generous support of Torhaus Berlin e.V.
Workshops will be conducted in English. You are welcome to create in any language. Workshops are suitable for all experience levels. We welcome beginners!
For your enjoyment, please bring:
>> something to write with
>> something to draw with
>> a clipboard or book as a surface to write on
>> clothes that are comfortable to move in
>> your Tempelhof memories
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar, as well as copies of A4THF's collaborative Tempelhofer Feld issue with Arts of the Working Class magazine.
Sessions and facilitators:
>> Learn about the Tempelhofer Feld Ideas Competition, with Architects4THF.
>> Practice new approaches to writing about place and history, as we document our personal memories of the Feld with Demi Anter.
>> An immersive, collaborative drawing workshop encompassing a sense of place and curiosity with Luca Bentley and Geth Griffith-Jones.
>> Use poetry as a sensory extension tool to connect to the oddness of the environment around and within us, with Crista Siglin.
>> Learn how to craft compelling characters and powerful stories by using space and setting as your creative spark with Cat Hepburn.
>> Explore the impact of space on the writing body through psychogeographical play with Michelle Madsen.
