About this event

In the run-up to Lead With Tempo 2025, and in the spirit of bolder leadership, we're bringing you some meetups to help you feel braver at work, and help your team have more impact.

And this month we have a structured content takeover!

Rahel Anne Bailey will be running a workshop to understand what content designer leaders need to help their teams approach structured content.

Not many organisations have invested in a content ecosystem that actually works for content producers. Mostly, we inherit a hodgepodge of tools that get used by the UX designers, developers, and project managers. We're expected to figure out how to come up with work-arounds to make those tools work. And we do, but often at the expense of our productivity.

Until now, it's been hard to even know what comprises a high-efficiency content ecosystem, and get the technologists to understand what are important functions for content people. Content ecosystems have evolved as the need for kinetic content - things like modular content (composable architecture, componentisation), data-integrated, semantics-first approaches - for multi- and omni-channel delivery becomes more common. The lack of an association where we can share, learn, and grow our expertise, blending how we treat both the editorial and technical sides of information has been apparent for some time, and a group of us has come together to try to address that.

What we don't want is a group of technologists coming together to decide what is good for content producers. What we do want is for content people to be an integration part of the conversation. So this evening will be that conversation!

Tickets are by donation, and this month we'll be donating 50% of our proceeds to Stand Up To Cancer, a charity helping fund life-saving research into tests and treatments for cancer.
