To celebrate the launch of the new Liverpool European Partnership Business Network, we are delighted to be able to have this session at Caffè Riccardo – showcasing a local European entrepreneur and inviting people along to support this independent business. Riccardo Porfido is an Italian coffee roaster in Liverpool and has grown his thriving café in the north docks area over a number of years – with Caffè Riccardo now based at the heart of Make CIC’s creative campus. Riccardo says:
“We moved up to Liverpool from London and were immediately struck by the friendliness of the city. Setting up our business here, in such an exciting regeneration area, has been fantastic – we wanted to create a real community feel in the café with regular customers who we know by name - and that is what we have achieved.
We were grateful to be able to access some fully-funded marketing advice through Liverpool City Council’s business support programme back in 2018 which was helpful during these early years of our business as we were building our profile in the city. 7 years on, we are pleased to host a drop-in session at our café so that other local businesses can meet with the Council’s team and see what support is available for them. We are also looking forward to hearing more about the new Liverpool European Partnership Business Network!”
People are welcome to drop-in on the day without booking, but if you are able to book through Eventbrite to let us know you'll be joining us, that would be appreciated.
This session is delivered through the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council which provides fully-funded support to existing businesses based in Liverpool and also to Liverpool residents looking to start-up a new business. We reserve the right to cancel tickets for those to whom this does not apply. Confirmation of your place on the session will be provided as soon as possible after you register and we will share any joining instructions with all those eligible nearer the day of the session.
