Would benefit: all research academics who would like insight into the key issues and terminology of responding to tenders and to consolidate their bid writing skills

This interactive workshop will help demystify the process of responding to tenders and give you practical advice on how to improve your bid writing. Using current case studies, you will gain an insight in to the world of tendering for grants and public sector funding. This workshop will help you appreciate the key issues to be considered as well as provide you with an understanding of the terminology, technical and procedural issues related to responding to tenders.

This introductory workshop will give you an overview of

• Pre-bid activity (who do you want to work with/what areas/understand your strengths).

• Bidding process (understand the bidding process i.e. documentation, legal and financial requirements).

• Developing the tender response (structuring your bid writing, useful tips, project planning, impact planning and internal bid review and approval process).
