Event Details

A delightful evening of folk music at The Art House with a fantastic double bill...

Gloucestershire musician, Daniel Everett's writes songs that encapsulate British folk, American roots music and the rhythms of soul and jazz. He released his first full-length album, “Fragments”, last year and spent 2018 touring a three piece band.

Daniel started his career at Art College in Winchester with the Bullycats and then with Polly and the Billets Doux, who gained recognition in the late 2000s, were championed by Bob Harris and Cerys Matthews and toured Europe for over a decade.

Tenderlore's unique sound is that of three individual singer-songwriters blending as one. Their elegantly crafted songs and finely woven harmonies make for an enthralling live performance.

Their long anticipated second studio album, Ty Crwn, sees the trio expand to a five piece and go electric, with the addition of bass and drums duo David Phillips and Ross Gordon.

"It's a distinctive album that takes them a step beyond their trad-folk roots, and is drenched in glorious and distinctive jazz influenced harmonies. Rich in glissandos, intervals are fresh and contemporary, and whilst classic harmony driven rock bands of the 1970's are referenced, this is no mere tribute work, but a thing of its own." - Fatea Magazine
