Are you a shop owner in Clacton, Holland-on-Sea or Jaywick? Did you know you could be eligible for up to £20,000 of funding to improve your shopfront?
Colbea, in partnership with Tendring District Council, is hosting a free information session to help local businesses understand and apply for the Shopfront Improvement Grant, part of the Community Regeneration Partnership programme.
This event is designed to give you clear guidance and support throughout the application process. You’ll hear from:
- Colbea – practical advice on what’s required for a successful application, including examples of good submissions, common pitfalls to avoid, and the paperwork you’ll need. We’ll also explain how Colbea can support you with reviewing and proofreading your application.
- Retail Design Solutions – a short presentation on conservation areas in Clacton, Holland and Jaywick, what they mean for shopfront design, and how to make sure your plans meet requirements. They’ll be on hand afterwards for one-to-one advice.
- Tendring District Council – answering your questions directly about eligibility, the process, and what happens after you apply.
This is a unique opportunity to speak directly with the people behind the scheme, get clarity on the application and planning process, and make sure your business has the best chance of success.
The event will be held in the Committee Room at Clacton Town Hall on Monday 27th October, 10am–12pm. Free tea, coffee and pastries will be provided.
Places are free but limited, and the scheme is only open to businesses in Clacton, Holland-on-Sea and Jaywick.
