We would like to invite any female teachers and female sports leaders to attend a free event aimed at inspiring and developing female role models in sport. This will be part of Women in Sport week and will be led by Judy Murray.
WHAT IS TENNIS ON THE ROAD?
Tennis on the Road is a grassroots programme created to increase and improve the coaching workforce in Scotland in order to grow the game from entry level up.
Spearheaded by Judy Murray, delivered with Kris Soutar and supported by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the programme is about training a workforce across Scotland in order to give more adults, teens and kids the chance to play tennis.
Featuring engaging and creative activities, Tennis on the Road is tailored to inspire and support parents, teachers, volunteers, students, youth workers and sports developments teams to increase participation through fun training and recreational competition.
The programme focusses on how to deliver simple but stimulating skill-building sessions with much of the content based on the types of games that Andy and Jamie Murray loved to play when they were young.
Tickets are limited to 24 participants so you will need to be quick in order to get your space on the event.
