Event description
Tent Talk | Giles Fraser – Life on the Naughty Step On Being a Pundit Priest FRIDAY 14 June | 3.00pm | The Big Top

About this Event

Reflecting on his early fame as a self-declared Chartist revolutionary, Kingsley was unrepentant: “I got a name and a standing with many a one who would never have heard of me because of, not in spite of, the rows.” Kingsley combined the routine duties of parish priest with regular appearances on national media. Giles Fraser does the same today: as Guardian columnist, regular guest on BBC radio, and priest-in-charge of St Mary’s Newington in South London. What are the challenges of being a priest and pundit? 45mins plus Q&A

Tent Talks are part of the Charles Kingsley bicentennial. See other interesting talks ck200.live/boxoffice
