Abstract:
Sports is becoming more international and that means the demand for interpreters is increasing. The good news is you don’t need to be an elite athlete to interpret for one. You just need to understand the principles related to sports integrity, which tend to be similar no matter which sport you are working in. In this webinar, we will go over the main actors involved in sports integrity interviews and hearings, common examples of misconduct, and resources that can help you build up a glossary. We will spend equal amounts of time on anti-doping terms and match fixing terms. We will also leave plenty of time for Q&A.
