1. What is the Æternity Uni Hack?
The Æternity Uni Hack is a hybrid hackathon, held both online and in-person, where participants will develop innovative solutions using AI, oracles, and state channels on the Æternity blockchain.

2.Who can participate?

Accepted Answer

Participants must be 18+ years old and can join from any country or territory, except for standard exceptions. Teams of 2-5 members are required.

3.What are the requirements to join?

Participants should have experience in:
- AI development (especially chatbots)
- Blockchain development using Æternity and Sophia smart contracts
- UI/UX design for web or mobile applications
- Backend and frontend development

4. What do we need to build?

Accepted Answer

Build a project on the Æternity blockchain using Sophia. Integrate at least one: AI Chatbots for secure interactions, Oracles for off-chain data access, or State Channels for private transactions.

5. Can I use pre-existing code?

Accepted Answer

Yes, teams can use existing codebases or open-source libraries, but the hackathon deliverable must contain significant new work developed during the event. Forked repositories must clearly document what was developed during the hackathon.

Submit a functional prototype using Æternity and Sophia, a code repository with deployment instructions, a 5-minute video presentation explaining the solution, and optionally, a pitch deck summarizing the project and future roadmap.

Participants are encouraged to use open-source licenses such as:
- MIT License
- GPL License
- Apache 2.0 License  
If you don't wish to use an open-source license, include a clear license file in your code repository.

- Innovation and Creativity (25%)
- Technical Complexity (25%
- Impact and Feasibility (25%)
- Presentation and Clarity (25%)

Hackathon Schedule: Pre-registration: Sept 1-10, 2024. Event: Sept 10-13. Day 1: Registration & coding begins. Day 2: Coding sprint & mentor sessions. Day 3: Final coding, submission by 6 PM, presentations. Winners announced on Sept 13 at 6 PM.

Mentorship will be available for both online and in-person participants, with sessions focused on idea feedback, technical troubleshooting, and final project polishing.
