Description
A practical workshop looking at this unique age in relation to child development and practical strategies we can implement to make the 2 year old stage 'terrific.'
Objectives:
- Explore the brain development of two year olds
- Unpick how 2 year olds learn and why the behave the way they do
- Understand the role of the adult in supporting 2 year olds and their parents through positive relationships
- Look at how we can close the attainment gap with disadvantaged 2 year olds
- Consider the statutory Progress Check and how to gain confidence sharing information about your 2 years with health visitors and other health practitioners
On successful completion of this workshop, learners will be awarded a certificate which counts as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) evidence.
Ofsted registered childminders are welcome to join our training.
