About this Event

This February, we're bringing schools and teachers from across the country together for the first Tes Education Expo. Join us in London to discover career opportunities, upskill at CPD sessions, find out how to make the most of our resources platform, get inspiration at talks from education leaders and join our keynote talk from former minister for schools and our chief education and external officer, Lord Jim Knight.

Can't make London? Join us in Manchester on March 14.

Schools exhibition

Every school is different and has a unique story to share. Meet and with schools from across the country to find out more about working for them and their career opportunities.

CPD sessions

We'll be running CPD sessions throughout the day, including:

  • Meta-cognition: a brief guide to strategies for modelling meta-cognition to use in your classroom
  • The New DfE Framework for Initial Teacher Training: How to train and develop mentors in preparation for the changes
  • Reframe the blame: recognising child exploitation - hosted by Educare

Talks from schools leaders

In sessions throughout the day, leaders from all over the country will be talking about current issues, sharing their experiences and advice.

Keynote presentation from Lord Jim Knight

Jim is our chief education and external officer, having successfully started our teacher training business, Tes Institute. He’s also a visiting professor at the UCL Knowledge Lab and a member of the House of Lords. Jim served as an MP from 2001-2009, during which time he was a minister for rural affairs, schools and then employment, spending his final year as a Cabinet minister.)

The who, what and why of Tes Resources

Our resources platform inspires educators to create and share the best teaching resources. In this session, we'll explore the 800,000 free and paid-for teaching resources created by teachers, for teachers. You'll also discover how you can share or sell your own materials to support teachers and students in 180 countries.
