Event description

Description

Here at Tes, we understand that finding a new job can be a daunting experience and one that, as a busy teacher, you don't have time for.

The Tes Jobs Fairs introduce talented teachers to schools with vacancies for face-to-face, informal chats. Whether you've been actively looking for a new role or you're simply curious to find out what opportunities are out there, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet representatives from schools all over the UK, find out what it's like to work there and perhaps even get offered your next job.

The event is split into two days:

10am - 3pm, Saturday 16 March

  • Browse and chat to the different schools at their stands in our exhibition area

  • Attend interviews - you may have pre-arranged interviews or schools may invite you to interview on the day

  • Hear more from the schools about their ethos and what it's like to work with them at school presentations throughout the day.

  • Attend free CPD sessions on classroom excellence and wellbeing (see below for timetable)

  • Spruce up your CV and get help with interview techniques with the National Careers Service

Sunday 17 March 2019:

You may be invited by schools to attend further interviews on the Sunday. These will be happening at the same venue and you will be advised by the schools if they would like to interview you on this day. Please make sure you are available to come back on Sunday if required.

Why attend?

  • Learn about opportunities in your area before they're advertised

  • Plan for the future - network with potential colleagues and learn about prospective employers

  • Experience a more personal, face-to-face recruitment process - no need to rely on written applications

Who should attend?

This event is for primary and secondary teachers qualified to teach in the UK. We will have schools recruiting for roles across a variety of subjects at the event. PGCE and SCITT students are also welcome to attend and we’ll be sharing the schools and vacancies that will be suitable for NQTs very soon.
