Who is the event for?
All students of TESOL at UCLan: Foundation; Undergraduate; Elective & Postgraduate
TESOL Alumni

Event Aims

  • to deliver an inspirational and informative experience for people entering or progressing in the field of English Language Teaching

  • to get talent working - employers will be promoting their existing and upcoming opportunities e.g. long-term and also summer / seasonal (including teaching posts, social programme posts, senior posts)

  • to enable students and alumni to network with reputable employers in order to find out more...

  • to raise participants' awareness of the different routes, careers and CPD (continuing professional development available within the field) and to showcase inspirational role models (TESOL alumni) at different stages of their careers


‘TESOL Works’ Event Overview
13.00-13.30:

Arrival & registration at the welcome desk.

Visit the stands to find out about today's employers and the jobs that they have to offer.
Employers are recruiting for a range of jobs (mainly summer 2018 posts) including: teachers; senior teachers/managers; activities coordinators; pastoral support roles etc.. There are jobs suitable for all TESOL students (including those who do not yet have a Trinity CertTESOL and/or degree).

Visit the stands to find out about training courses in the field including: MA TESOL with Applied Linguistics at UCLan; MA in ELT at UCLan; Trinity CertTESOL (Summer Intensive 2018) at UCLan; PGCE at Edge Hill
