Join us for Tess Recordon's illustrated talk & exhibition tour at Burgh House!

Tess Recordon will be giving an illustrated talk about her work, revealing the places and artists which inspire her and telling us more about her working practice. There will also be plenty of time for questions and to view the exhibition.

Her work combines landscape, memory and abstraction, using rich colours and layering to create texture.

In this exhibition, the emphasis is on landscapes that are in a state of flux and constantly undergoing transformations, that are both caused by the Earth's processes and the alterations resulting from human intervention. Volcanic deserts, melting glaciers. The ebb and flow of tides. Fleeting cloud formations, the first and last lights of dawn and dusk. Transient landscapes that capture the beauty and impermanence of the natural world.
