‘Battle landscape’ textile workshop

In this workshop, you’ll create a unique textile piece inspired by the beautiful Leicestershire landscape that makes up the area round where the Battle of Bosworth took place. Working from a photo or memory, you’ll begin by painting and colouring your own fabrics to reflect the tones and mood of your chosen scene. You'll then build your piece using a wide range of textural stitching and hand embroidery techniques, bringing your landscape or view to life with layers, texture, and personal expression. This is a wonderful opportunity to translate your memories into fabric and thread, creating a beautiful and meaningful piece of textile art. You just need to bring your photo!
