Join us at Wimbledon Museum and make your very own unique picture books using varied print-making techniques. This illustrator-led workshop is suitable for anyone interested in art and crafts, from complete beginners to print making lovers. Come along and learn how to use a variety of texturing and stamping materials, book-binding tools and other high-quality items. Maximum 8 participants, so please book quickly to avoid disappointment.
The inks are water-based, but we recommend wearing clothes that you won’t mind getting stained.
About the workshop lead:
Louise Hung is an illustrator and aspiring educator. Her illustrations have been commissioned by Unilever UK, Canary Wharf Station, White Stuff UK and Marie Claire Taiwan, etc. As Museum Creative at Wimbledon Museum, she initiates heritage-based projects. She is a visiting lecturer at Kingston University on the BA Illustration Animation course. Formerly, she worked as a studio fellow for 2 years at the University and was passionate about facilitating printmaking workshops every week. Together with the students, she explored and challenged possibilities in printmaking and bookmaking, emphasising sustainability in materials and investigating historical, archival and contemporary references.
Louise graduated from Royal College of Art MA Visual Communication in 2023.
