TfL is holding a fourth Industry Day on the 16th February 2017, for people who are leaving or have left the Armed Forces. Following previous Industry Days many people have transferred their skills and gained full time employment at TfL and within our supply chain.
- Gain an understanding of the tasks we undertake to keep London moving
- Speak to people who have made transition to civilian work
- Talk to people who undertake real interviews
- Understand how your skills are transferable
- Explore the role of Reservists in industry
The event is free to attend for people who are leaving or have left the Armed Forces, including complimentary Lunch (Sponsored by Telent.com). After the event this is a chance to network further network in the bar at HMS President.
During the Industry Day there will be an opportunity to speak to people who have attended previous events and are now working within the Transport Industry. This includes a range of people, from those working out on-street to Project Managers and Train Drivers.
Part of the day will be spent with an operational team to gain an understanding of the tasks we undertake to keep London moving. There will also be CV and interview workshops facilitated by recruitment teams who day-to-day recruit people.
TfL promise to give no PowerPoint presentations on the day.
TfL welcome attendance from all backgrounds, but places are limited on a first-come-first-served basis. However, if the event is over-subscribed, priority will be given to anyone who may be wounded, injured or sick.
