Thames Hospice, partnered with The Lions Club of Windsor are inviting you to leave the effort of getting rid of your Christmas tree to us.

For a donation you can choose one of the following days: Thursday 7th, Friday 8th & Saturday 9th January 2021 for volunteers from a range of local businesses and organisations will be heading out in force to collect your Christmas tree for a donation.

Collection dates are:- Datchet, Wraysbury & Horton on Thursday 7th January 2021 – - SL4 on Friday 8th Jan 2021 - SL5 on Saturday 9th Jan 2021

Registrations close at 12pm on Sunday 3rd January 2021

Supporting the hospice through this scheme will allow us to continue providing expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire – any donation will go to towards vital patient care and family support. There is no minimum donation, but here’s how your donation can make a difference in providing funds for patient care:

• £6 covers the cost of 5 disposable medical masks

• £13 covers the cost of pain-relieving medication for one patient for a day

• £17 covers the cost of piped oxygen for a day on our IPU

• £20 covers the cost of one set of medical scrubs

• £45 covers the cost of cleaning materials and detergent to keep our hospice clean

The Christmas tree recycling scheme is a brilliant example of how the hospice relies on its community – without people being generous enough to register their trees, we wouldn’t benefit financially from the scheme, and without the amazing support of our corporate and community volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to collect the trees. It’s a real, feel-good event and a wonderful way to kick-start the New Year.
