A Cognitive Care Pathway After Stroke: From Research to Reality?

Abstract:

In this talk Prof Demeyere will discuss her group’s research on cognitive screening and developing a cognitive care pathway. The talk will focus on the goal of translational research to instigate real-world changes to the stroke care pathway. Examples of research will be discussed as well as an overall approach of collaborating both with people with lived experience as well as health professionals in clinical practice throughout the research cycle.

Bio:

Professor Nele Demeyere is head of the translational neuropsychology group in the Oxford Cognitive Neuropsychology Centre at the University of Oxford. Professor Demeyere's research interests include cognitive impairments in stroke and dementia, as well as the mechanisms underlying visuo-spatial neglect.
