Appointment of Directors
Momentum is the trade body which comprises its membership from companies engaged in Software/ICT activities exclusively or as part of their business.
Currently Momentum has over 100 member organisations drawn from large, small and micro businesses, educators, policy makers and affiliates.
Momentum’s direction is shaped and overseen by its voluntary board on which each director serves on the board for a fixed term of 2 years.
As a result of this there are a number of current vacancies on the board:
2 directors from computer services companies or organisations with more than 50 ICT employees
1 director from smaller computer services companies or organisations (less than 50 ICT employees)
1 director from an organisation outside of the above categories
This is a voluntary position for which there is no remuneration but expenses will be paid.
Each director is required to attend the monthly Momentum board meeting and engage and support the activities of the organisation in support of the digital sector in Northern Ireland. At least 1 day’s commitment a month is required.
Nominations are sought for motivated, enthusiastic individuals who have the influence and authority to effect change in the digital sector who are employees or directors of an organisation which is currently a fully paid member of Momentum. You can nominate yourself or someone else as long as they agree to the nomination.
If the number of nominations exceeds the available positions an election will take place prior to the Momentum AGM. Nominees will be contacted prior to the election to provide a short biography and some information about their suitability for the role, and these along with voting papers will be issued to the main contact in each Momentum member organisation within that category for return by the due date.
