About this Event

NLP & Coaching Convention Postponement

Update 23 Sept 2020:

Because of the recent announcement regarding socialising in groups of no more than six people and the increase in cases of Covid we think it wouldn't be sensible to host the NLP and Coaching Convention on November 19th.

We would like to review the situation again in six months.

We had a fantastic event planned and I’m sure you would still like to attend in the future. We will announce a new date as soon as we are confident the event will be able to go ahead. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and we know many of you will be very disappointed that it won’t be going ahead as planned but we feel it is the right thing to do to protect our delegates.

The qualityculture Team

Due to the current situation with Covid-19 we have taken the decision today to postpone the NLP & Coaching Convention. It is possible that guidelines may change over the next few weeks to include mass gatherings and we want to give you as much time as possible to rearrange hotel bookings and travel arrangements, especially as we have so many delegates coming from all over the country. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and we know many of you will be very disappointed that it won’t be going ahead as planned but we feel it is the right thing to do to protect our delegates

The good news is that the Convention will still be going ahead – just at a later date! We have rescheduled with our venue for Thursday 19th November 2020 and confirmed with Myles Downey.

We will honour all bookings and will automatically swap your booking over so there will be nothing further for you to do apart from block the date out in your diaries.

We hope you can all make the new date and look forward to seeing you and making the Convention a truly inspirational day.

Kind Regards

This event is about bringing professional coaches, in house coaches and self employed professionals together from the fields of NLP and Coaching. The aim of the day is to maximize your success and the success of your organization. In order to inspire your clients you have to become inspired yourself and this event aims to do just that. There will be a combination of key note speakers, inspiring workshops and the opportunity to be coached by an NLP Master Practitioner. Headlining the day is Myles Downey. Myles is an acknowledged authority on Performance, Coaching and Leadership. He is the author of three classics in the coaching and performance arena, 'Effective Modern Coaching', 'Effective Coaching' and most recently 'Enabling Genius - a mindset for success in the 21st Century'.

Considered one of the leading business performance coaches in Europe with extensive, global experience spanning thirty years, Myles has been at the forefront of coaching not only in the UK but also right across Europe and into the near and far east, while being one of the first European coaches invited time and again to teach in Russia .

Miles will be joined by Steve Kay, Certified NLP Trainer, Leadership Trainer, Coach and author of Become a Great Leader and Coach using NLP. Steve uniquely combines NLP, Coaching & Leadership training and also research on the latest thinking in these three fields.

There will be 6 workshops to choose from including:

NLP Live Demo’s

NLP Trainer Steve Kay will be doing demonstrations of NLP techniques for delegates of his workshop. This will include how to improve your coachee’s confidence plus some advanced quick nlp techniques. This workshop will be a great refresher for those who are already NLP Practitioners or Master Practitioners. For coaches without previous experience of NLP this is a great introduction to the type of interventions that NLP can add to your current coaching practice.

NLP Values Elicitation

This is a hands on workshop with NLP Master Practitioner Kali Fraser which will teach you how to elicit your clients unconscious as well as conscious values. For NLP Master Practitioners this will serve as a refresher and for NLP Practitioners and coaches without NLP experience this will add an extra tool in your coaching toolkit. We will be focusing on career values and as well as a practical demonstration you will all have the opportunity to work in pairs to put your learning into practice.

Mental Health Awareness for Coaches

MHFA England Mental Health Instructor, NLP Master Practitioner and Coach, Julia Hodder will be leading a straightforward introduction to mental health awareness in line with MHFA England recommendations. This will include the language of mental health as well as recognising various crisis symptoms in your clients. Julia’s aim with this workshop is for coaches to be able to recognise the symptoms of mental health crisis so they can choose from their toolbox to address and support their clients more effectively.

Adding Value and the Consequences of our Actions

This interactive workshop with NLP Master Practitioner & Coach Wendy Lukacs is designed for new and existing coaches and will provide you with techniques that you can use with your coachees immediately.

A phrase I’ve heard over the years for nor achieving great results or great goals is “I didn’t have the time”. In today’s society where we wear ‘busyness’ as a badge of honour and allow our days to be governed by the clock, it’s easy to forget why we do what we do and what impact our actions have on the success of our output. This simple activity looks at all the big impact actions we conduct and then all the little impact actions that we get weighted down with - they need to done but exactly how much time are we spending on these and what value do they really add? How can we spend more time doing the things that really add value?

For an individual to achieve a goal or to overcome an obstacle they have to take personal responsibility and have a desire to take action. This next technique, known as ‘the line of consequence’ demonstrates to your coachee, how doing nothing will have a huge negative impact on both their life and career and that action has to be taken.

The Mindful Coach

This workshop from Development coach and Wellbeing Practitioner Jason Hall provides an introduction to the benefits of a developing a Mindfulness coaching mindset, before, during and after! This experiential workshop will uncover how adopting a mindfulness approach could help:

  • build the coaching relationship,
  • focus heightened listening,
  • develop and trust intuition,
  • ask better questions,
  • ensure constructive feedback.

We begin by discussing the idea of developing a “Present Active Listening Mindset’ (PALM mode) and then take a closer look at the attitudes of mindfulness and how as coaches they can help us overcome our own barriers to aid insight and learning during a session and inform our reflective practices.

We are delighted that the Life Coach Directory are sponsoring our 2020 NLP & Coaching Convention. Everyone will get a goodie bag on the day which will include the latest copy of Happiful magazine and there will be big discounts on the day for those who want to join the Directory.
