We're in age of social network proliferation. With Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ we're able to discover, meet, collaborate and acquire business and success through online platforms alone.
What then, does this mean for good old, traditional face-to-face networking. Has social media devalued meet-ups? Is there a relevence for paid networks in this age of free?
The fifth Preson Social will explore the current state of networking and where best to spend our time and, perhaps, our money.
Heather Carey, the director of font57 (a creative copywriting agency) and a long standing member of the Let’s Do Business committee, will be there to give insight to a B2B networking group that is run a cooperative basis by members for members.
We will also have a guest to represent the plight of social networks.
Most importantly, we'll have you to help push the discussion and shape what is fast becoming a fascinating and enjoyable, Preston Social.
The evening kicks off at 6:30, and as usual there'll be an emphasis on discussion and participation. Want to suggest a topic for a future meetup? Either get in touch with us on Twitter, get involved in our Linkedin Group or, if you'd rather, out Facebook Page.
