The Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project
Event Information
About this Event
Aberdeen Harbour one of the UK’s busiest ports is currently expanding its facilities into Nigg Bay, to the south of the existing harbour. This presentation will provide a general understanding of the Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project, one of the largest marine infrastructure developments currently underway in Europe.
This £350 million project which represents a step change in the marine support capabilities in Scotland is estimated to generate an additional £1 billion per annum to the economy by 2035, and will create an additional 7,000 equivalent jobs.
Attendees will gain an insight into the different construction activities and phases as well as the main elements that will form this new port. In addition, we will pay attention to the opportunities that this expansion will bring to the area.
