Overview

Join us for an introduction to considerations when using AI in our online webinar - The Active Best Practice Network!

To build on the work of The Active Best Practice Network podcast series, we are planning a trio of free webinars, taking place on 9th September, 8th December and 10th February 2026.

Join our free introductory webinar exploring key considerations for implementing AI into small and medium-sized organisations, based on findings from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and further afield.
In these webinars we will be inviting local experts to share some best practice guidance, tips and resources with a short Q&A for attendees. These are aimed at sport and physical activity groups, the community or VCSE sector, plus anyone within our network who could benefit.

Format:

  • A brief introduction to considerations around introducing AI - particularly small and medium sized organisations
  • Key considerations with references to regional findings to any best practice tips, and key takeaways, plus
  • Follow-up resources that may help attendees
  • Attendee Q&A's

The session will help to:

✔️ Understand the regional and national landscape
Gain insights into the West Midlands context, UK-wide positioning, and locally reported benefits of AI.

✔️ Explore the ethics, challenges, and practical solutions of AI adoption
Including the environmental impact of AI and the potential cost of data donation

✔️ Evaluate your needs
Not every challenge requires an AI solution. Learn how to assess whether AI is the right fit -or if other workflow improvements may be more effective. Consider starting small and reviewing costs and impact.

✔️ Access free tools and resources
Get a demo of the newly launched V2 of the Innovation Hub website. Access 'where to start' best practices guides, learning modules, short videos, plus a workflow analysis tool to help map processes, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities.

✔️ Stay ahead of the curve
Discover key trends and next steps in AI adoption to help your organisation identify areas of growth in this fast-evolving industry.

This is part 2 of a trio of webinars sharing best practice, tips and resources, on the use of AI.

Part 1 will be a Data Protection Refresher (9th September 2025) with part 3 providing an update for event planning using Martyn's Law (The Protection of Premises Act 2025) on 10th February 2026.

Bookings will be available through Eventbrite and each webinar will be advertised on the Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire events page.

Once you have booked a ticket to this webinar, you will be sent the MS Teams link via the Eventbrite reminder emails.
