The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Senior Leaders
Thu, 23 Feb 2017, 09:00 – Fri, 24 Feb 2017, 17:00 GMT
The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Senior Leaders 23 and 24 February 2017 from 9am to 5pm both days.
In schools throughout the UK, senior leaders are adopting a coaching approach and striving to create a coaching culture. The result? They are transforming education.
When coaching skills are widespread, school initiatives and practices flourish. A coaching approach enriches interactions: from informal conversations to management meetings, academic tutoring and performance reviews, people thrive.
Amongst teachers and staff, a coaching culture improves:
trust and understanding
comfort with self-exploration and honesty
awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses
independence, confidence and resourcefulness
the capacity to deal with varying degrees of stress and conflict
the ability to support student confidence, motivation and academic attainment
This two-day course was developed by Graydin, an organisation that specialises in training and supporting educators in how to embed a coaching culture. The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Senior Leaders offers a unique opportunity to be trained in coaching language, skills and concepts that were specifically designed for education.
At the end of the course, you will leave with tools and techniques that can be immediately implemented to help your staff and students maximise their potential.
You will learn to:
apply coaching skills to one-to-one interactions, meetings and presentations
enhance professional learning and performance management processes
support improved student-teacher and parent-teacher relationships
more effectively develop leadership and independent thinking in others
promote self-awareness, self-direction and responsibility throughout your school
