Description

The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Senior Leaders

23 and 24 February 2017 from 9am to 5pm both days

In schools throughout the UK, senior leaders are adopting a coaching approach and striving to create a coaching culture. The result? They are transforming education.

When coaching skills are widespread, school initiatives and practices flourish. A coaching approach enriches interactions: from informal conversations to management meetings, academic tutoring and performance reviews, people thrive.

Among teachers and staff, a coaching culture improves:

  • communication

  • trust and understanding

  • comfort with self-exploration and honesty

  • awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses

  • independence, confidence and resourcefulness

  • the capacity to deal with varying degrees of stress and conflict

  • the ability to support student confidence, motivation and academic attainment

This two-day course was developed by Graydin, an organisation that specialises in training and supporting educators in how to embed a coaching culture. The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course for Senior Leaders offers a unique opportunity to be trained in coaching language, skills and concepts that were specifically designed for education.

At the end of the course, you will leave with tools and techniques that can be immediately implemented to help your staff and students maximise their potential.

You will learn to:

  • apply coaching skills to one-to-one interactions, meetings and presentations

  • enhance professional learning and performance management processes

  • support improved student-teacher and parent-teacher relationships

  • more effectively develop leadership and independent thinking in others

  • promote self-awareness, self-direction and responsibility throughout your school

We will keep you refreshed with tea, biscuits and other snacks throughout the day, and we encourage you to step out at lunch to eat.

Note: In our experience, it is ideal if several senior leaders from a particular school attend the same course rather than attending Graydin courses on separate occasions. To enable this approach, we offer discounted rates when several leaders attend at once.

This is a non-refundable ticket. If necessary, the ticket may be transferred to another person within your school. If this were to happen, the only requirement is that all attendees are school senior leaders.
