THE ANDY WARHOL BUTTERFLIES-INSPIRED TEXTILE DESIGN WORKSHOP
PAINT, SCREENPRINT AND DIGITAL REPEAT!
Explore stunning illustrations and design work by Andy Warhol with textile design expert Dr Emma Neuberg and discover ways to develop Warhol's playful eye for colourful textile print projects.
You'll learn about Warhol's methods of sketching and printing and other designers of his era and discover techniques for recreating his lightness of touch, joy and joie de vivre in contemporary, upcycled cotton. You'll learn silkscreen printing and digital print techniques to develop into bright and beautiful textiles that evoke the poetry of Warhol originals!
Everyone takes home their beautiful Warhol-inspired prints from the class - which may be featured in future Slow Textiles Group publications (since 2013 we've been busy designing exhibitions and books based on our workshops), if you wish!
All materials and a Pdf to help you discover more and develop your skills beyond the day included. This workshop is open to everyone of all levels of experience.
From £20 for Slow Textiles Group members and from £45 for non-members.
Emma Neuberg and members of The Slow Textiles Group look forward to welcoming you!
