Welcome to The Angels' Share Whiskey Tasting @ The American Bar! Join us on Thurs, 9 Oct 2025 at 7:30 PM at the amazing American Bar for an evening filled with whiskey, great craic and new friends.

The Angels' Share is a whiskey club for all women and non-binary lovelies and whether you already love whiskey or are curious to find out more, we would love to welcome you.

This month we will be exploring wine finishes!

Our tastings are generally all blind tastings (you don't know what the whiskey is before the event - just the theme). We think that helps you explore the whiskey fully and lower those preconceptions.

Frequently asked questions

I'm coming on my own, is that ok?

Of course. We are a really friendly bunch and everyone gets chatting after a while. We would love to welcome you. If you are really nervous and unsure, let Annie know with an email beforehand and we can arrange to meet outside.

Where do I go when I arrive at the Sunflower?

We will be upstairs in the Sunflower, so head straight through the bar and you'll see a door to the right. If in doubt do ask the lovely bar staff and don't forget to buy a drink at the bar before you head up.

I'm coming with a friend, can we sit together?

Absolutely. We set up the room depending on how many people are coming, but we can always shift people around. If you want to drop Annie a line (angelssharebelfast@gmail.com) to let her know who you want to sit with, she can arrange that on set up.

What size measures do you serve?

We always serve our whiskey as 25ml.
