Event description
Please join us to learn more about the fantastic research non-medical professionals are delivering across the Trust.

About this Event

The Annual Research Showcase is an exciting opportunity for you to learn about the ground-breaking and intriguing research being carried out by non-medical staff throughout the Trust.

This year we have a fantastic line up of oral presenters who will cover a range of topics. These include exploring critical care physical assessment tools with Chloe Meehan to understanding innovative models being proposed for the detection and treatment of atrial fibrillation with Zainab Khanbhai. We will also be getting an insight into Siobhan Haran's research where she is assessing validity of reporting physical activity levels in patients with pulmonary hypertension.

An annual highlight of this event is the keynote speech which this year will be delivered by Dr Sam Irving, entitled: 'Why research?’. Sam is Chief Paediatric Respiratory Research Physiologist and holds extensive achievements in research. She will be sharing her experiences of being a researcher and the role a researcher has to play in the clinical environment.

The afternoon will end with the following prizes being awarded to the poster presenters: Most Innovative, Director's Choice, Early Career Researcher and Greatest Patient Impact.

We are looking forward to your attendance and we hope this will be a valuable afternoon for you all. Places are limited so please book early.

The talks will be taking place in seminar room 1&2 at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

*This event is currently open to Trust staff ONLY. Please let me know if you are a non-Trust staff and still would like to attend (S.Ahmed5@rbht.ac.uk).*
