6.00 pm refreshments and networking, with the event starting promptly at 6.30 pm and finishing around 8 pm

At this session, one of the UK’s largest apprenticeship training providers will be on hand to give you insight into the impact of the apprenticeship levy and what the new standards can offer you. Both the training provider and employer perspectives will be covered, going into detail about how your people strategy can be supported by apprenticeships.

As a result of attending this event you will:

  • Understand the breadth and scope of the apprenticeship reform changes
  • Gain an insight into what is actually happening out there in the apprenticeship sector several months after implementation of the levy
  • Learn how you can align apprenticeships to your organisation’s people strategy
  • Get a levy paying employer’s perspective on how to best make use of your levy funds

Our speakers

Alan Ovenden, Director of Central Services, Babcock Training; Olive Gardiner, Director of Sales, Babcock Training and Rikki Parsons, Strategy Implementation Manager, Babcock.

Alan Ovenden is Babcock’s Apprenticeship reforms expert and has been leading the business changes required to adapt to the new apprenticeship environment. He gained a depth of commercial and finance experience across the skills and learning sector prior to taking up his current role two years ago.

Olive Gardiner has spent the last five years working closely with employers within the Apprenticeship sector. Previously she spent over twenty years working in management roles for Canon, across Operations and Business Development. Recently she has been involved with mobilising large apprenticeship programmes for national levy paying employers.

Rikki Parsons has been working within the apprenticeship sector for the last two years, previously working as a Project Manager across the skill and learning sector. Recently Rikki has been responsible for implementing the Babcock Group levy solution that will be looking to gain the most value from a levy of several million pounds.
